My story

My name is Rasty and I am your local butcher with a passion for honest Slovak and English meat products. I make them according to traditional recipes from quality ingredients — with an emphasis on taste, craft and trust.

The butcher’s trade has fascinated me since I was young, which led me to become a butcher in 1995. In 2016, I decided to return to my roots and returned to the butcher’s trade on family pig farm in Essex, UK. It was there that I had the opportunity to learn from the best experts in English butchery and gain valuable experience, which I now translate into every product.

After returning home, I picked up a knife again — after twenty years — and discovered that my passion for the craft was still burning within me. I combined Slovak traditions with English recipes and decided to offer them to lovers of quality meat in our region.

In 2024, I founded the Rasty’s brand and opened my own production site to be closer to you — our customers. With the support of family, friends, and the community, I can now offer an even wider selection of products and higher quality that you can rely on.
